Vic: Asher rules out leadership challenge=2
Ms Asher made the comments ahead of this morning's party-room meeting, at which theLiberals were to begin their post mortem into an election result that saw up to 30 oppositionMPs lose their seats.
Deputy Leader Phil Honeywood said he was pleased Ms Asher had backed the current leadershipof the party.
"I'm glad to hear that Louise is supporting the team; that's reassuring," he told reporters.
Meanwhile, former shadow treasurer Rob Dean was also seen at parliament this morning,spending about five minutes inside the building.
Dr Dean declined to say why he was there.
Mr Doyle sacked Dr Dean from the parliamentary party and the front bench after it wasdiscovered that he had disqualified himself from standing for parliament by failing toenrol to vote.
